The torsion spring used on a GoJak is a key mechanical component that provides controlled force within the jack’s pedal and ratchet mechanism. Its job is to maintain spring-loaded tension, allowing components to return to their default positions and engage smoothly during operation.

Assists Pedal Return
It stores energy as the foot pedal is pressed, then releases that energy to return the pedal to its starting position. This enables consistent ratcheting during each pedal pump. -
Ensures Reset for Next Cycle
Without the spring’s torque, the lifting arm or pedal may fail to reset correctly, causing operational issues.
The torsion spring is mounted on the lower pivot shaft between two washers and helps secure the upper pivot shaft in position. Left option GoJaks will require the 2017-L option torsion spring.
